Give food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, and clothes to the naked. Then God will be pleased.- Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
Welcome to Sri Sai Spiritual Centre.
Here, we welcome all who seek to surrender their worries to the Almighty and receive his blessings. Devotees who enter this space worship the everlasting fire that has been brought from Baba's home in Shirdi and receive Baba's blessings.
Baba's name and his miracles have reached many parts of the world and changed the lives of millions of people, for the better. His devotees embrace his songs and sayings and find a deeper meaning to the purpose of life.
At the Sri Sai Spiritual Centre, we celebrate his Holiness and guide his disciples to leave their cares behind and discover the grandeur of God.
In grateful acknowledgement of his glory, countless disciples offer thanksgiving, through charitable gestures and donations which transform the lives of others and earn them further blessings.
Sri Sai Spiritual Centre was inaugurated in April 1954. The idol of Baba that is worshipped by devotees who come here is the first Sri Sai idol to be installed in Bengaluru in May,1978. In Baba's own words:
Those who think that Baba is only in Shirdi have totally failed to know me. My eye is ever on all those who love me.
Sai Baba and his disciples Sri Narasimha Swamiji and Sri Radhakrishna Swamiji are the presiding deities of the Centre.
With their omnipotent presence, they lead devotees towards the path of righteousness and help them get relief from their worries. At the Centre, we hold prayers for peace and well-being – of the individual and of the world.
Daily worship and at the bhajan hall, recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama and other divine names, Gita parayan, etc., are conducted for the welfare of mankind. These prayers have been proven to spread positive energy and invoke blessings on all those who participate in the prayer.
Sri Sai Spiritual Centre is a non-profit organization. We are committed to promoting and supporting value-integrated education, quality healthcare and annadhana to deserving people who cannot otherwise afford it. True to the spirit of Baba, the Centre is spiritual, cultural, and completely inclusive to people of all faiths and tolerant.
The core activities at the Centre are focused on building capabilities and the long-term alleviation of suffering. Medical aid to the needy and contribution towards different causes which aim to relieve the sufferings of people from poverty, disease and ignorance to whatever extent possible is, in our belief, the best way to shower Sai Baba's blessings to all those who seek him.
My business is to give blessings.- Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
We provide midday meals and groceries to over five thousand school children, one thousand patients and orphans per day. Our centralised state-of-the-art kitchen is housed in a separate building built through contributions from Sai devotees from around the world. From here we can provide freshly cooked nutritious meals to over twenty thousand children each day. On specific days, we provide food to inmates of a few orphanages and old age homes as well.
Since June 1999, the Centre has provided midday meals to around 90 lakhs school children and patients.
I will not allow my devotees to come to harm.- Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
Devotees who seek Sai Baba often miraculously find themselves freed from mental and physical pain and ailments. Each day, over fifty patients visit our Medical Units and around 20 to 25 patients visit our Physiotherapy Units. We also give financial assistance to patients who are referred for further treatment or surgical operations. We also visit hospitals to distribute fruits, biscuits and bread to inpatients and boost their morale.
As a response to requests from the community, we organize Medical camps for diagnosing ailments related to Heart, Eye, Dental and ENT, Blood Donation camps and School Health Services. Free spectacles are distributed and cataract surgery is arranged either free or at subsidized rates.
These activities have earned the Centre a sound and dependable reputation of being a socially responsible charitable trust which is committed to the overall well-being of the communities.
Do not be obsessed by egotism, imagining that you are the cause of action: everything is due to God.- Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.
The Centre realises the value of a good education as the foundation for a good life. Helping poor students, right from primary school to graduation, by providing them with the requisite facilities to complete their studies, is a gesture that shows the Centre’s goodwill towards the welfare of youngsters who may otherwise go astray. School children are provided with uniforms, shoes and educational aids and a few are also helped with financial assistance to pay school and college fees.
